The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and the Consulate-General in Shanghai, in collaboration with the Board of Investment (BOI), successfully hosted the fourth B2B matchmaking event in Jiangsu Province, China. The event took place in Suzhou, a key hub for China’s textile industry, and focused on building trade and investment partnerships between leading textile enterprises from both countries.
Prominent Participation and Networking
Eleven top Pakistani companies, including Crescent Bahuman Ltd., Fazal Cloth Mills Ltd., Nishat, and Servis Long March, joined the event. They engaged with 37 major Chinese firms, such as SUMEC Textile Co. Ltd. and Yuyue Home Textile Co. Ltd. Through B2B meetings and networking sessions, participants discussed future collaborations and concrete business opportunities.

Government Support for the Textile Sector
BOI Secretary Rahim Hayat Qureshi outlined Pakistan’s pro-investment policies, including tax benefits, streamlined regulations, and infrastructure within Special Economic Zones (SEZs). A success story by Servis Long March and its Chinese partner illustrated the economic gains of Pakistan-China partnerships.
