The award ceremony took place in the Maldives, where Zain was honoured for his remarkable contributions to social entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

Zain Ashraf, previously a recipient of the Commonwealth Award and featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30, was recognized for his extraordinary achievements in sending 6,000 children to school and transforming the lives of 3,000 people into entrepreneurs. His efforts have extended to marginalized communities, including the transgender population and minority groups in Pakistan.

His initiative, Seed Out, has been a beacon of hope, focusing on eradicating poverty by empowering individuals to become self-sustained through entrepreneurship.

The GIFA Award, an internationally recognized honour in the field of Islamic finance, has previously been awarded to notable global figures, including the President of Pakistan in 2020, the President of Senegal, and the Vice Prime Minister of Indonesia. This year, Zain Ashraf became the first Pakistani social entrepreneur to join this distinguished list, highlighting his unwavering commitment to creating meaningful change.
