Pakistan’s Education Fund Allocates 20% Quota for Balochistan Youth – PM Shehbaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on Tuesday, announced the establishment of the Pakistan Education Endowment Fund, a significant step aimed at providing higher education opportunities for children from low-income families. This fund, as highlighted by the Prime Minister during his meeting with Israr Khan Kakar, the newly elected President of the Oxford Union at Oxford University, UK, allocates a 20% quota specifically for the youth of Balochistan.

In a warm and congratulatory meeting at the PM House, Prime Minister Shehbaz commended Israr Kakar for his outstanding achievement in bringing honor to Pakistan. The Prime Minister recognized Kakar’s election victory at the prestigious Oxford Union as a testament to his unwavering determination and resilience. He expressed optimism that talented individuals like Kakar would continue to shape a promising future for Pakistan.

A Milestone Achievement for Balochistan and Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded Kakar for his steadfastness in winning the Oxford Union election, making him the third Pakistani and the first from Balochistan to attain this prestigious position.

Kakar, in turn, appreciated the Prime Minister’s efforts towards youth empowerment and equal opportunity provision.

“All of the youth, like me, are resolved to offer all-out services for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity,” Kakar remarked.

He emphasized the resolve of youth like himself to contribute wholeheartedly to Pakistan’s progress and prosperity. The Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to utilizing all available resources, in collaboration with the provinces, to ensure that boys and girls are equipped with the modern education and skills necessary for the country’s development.

This initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s broader vision, which includes addressing the education crisis in Pakistan, where a significant portion of children remain out of school and many struggle with basic literacy. The Pakistan Education Endowment Fund marks a strategic effort to overcome these challenges and uplift the nation’s youth, ensuring a brighter future for all.
