Building Bridges Between Coding and Marketing | A Self-Taught Journey of Strategic Scaling
“We are thrilled to have you with us today! Welcome to CohortMax’s exclusive interview. Let’s learn a bit about Talha Fakhar’s personal and professional journey.”
In this exclusive interview, Talha Fakhar shares his inspiring journey from a Computer Science graduate to a trailblazing entrepreneur and mentor. Starting with launching a tech product for restaurants in 2019, Talha’s entrepreneurial drive led to the creation of 2BTech LLC, a Tech & Design Agency that has since served over 174+ clients globally.
With a passion for blending technology and business innovation, Talha has built a thriving consultancy, TF Business Solutions, specializing in automation, B2B sales, and strategic outreach. Furthermore, let’s learn about Talha’s struggles and strategies for scaling his businesses and his aim to mentor Pakistani tech startups and build a legacy of sustainable growth.
Can you take us back to the moment when the spark for your business first ignited? What was happening at the time that inspired this vision, and how did you transform that initial idea into the thriving reality it is today?
I identified that most businesses in the startup phase struggle due to a lack of tech leadership, B2B sales processes, and reputation management. In 2022, after five years of tech agency (2BTech) experience, I launched TF Business Solutions to provide consultation, training, and resources in sales, marketing, HR, and tech.
What is the driving vision behind your company? How does it shape your mission and define your core value proposition? Share what sets you apart in a competitive landscape and the unique ways you deliver value to your customers.
My vision is to drive growth through consultancy, training, and fractional resources. What sets us apart is my experience in launching and leading five service-based startups into successful business ventures, providing me with unique insights to help others overcome challenges. We apply proven strategies combined with adaptive methods to ensure a sustainable business impact.
When confronted with an unexpected setback, what’s the first thought that runs through your mind? How do you channel that initial reaction into decisive action to navigate the challenge effectively?
I think, ‘What advice would I give if I were providing consultation on this?’ This perspective helps me stay objective and devise a solution despite the stress. Taking this step back reduces anxiety and allows me to create strategic, balanced responses to the challenge.
If you could revisit a defining moment in your career, which one would you choose to approach differently, and what drives your desire to make that change?
If I could revisit a pivotal moment, it would be the launch of 2BTech. Initially, I positioned it as a full-stack digital solutions agency, focusing on tech design and marketing services. However, after two years, I recognized that our true strength was in software development and product design. In hindsight, I would have launched 2BTech exclusively as a software development company to better align with our expertise and meet market demands more effectively.
If you could design a business course to teach the next generation of CEOs, what would be its title, and what’s the most unconventional lesson you’d include?
The course would be “Leadership in the Age of AI.” It would teach leadership, sales psychology, and risk management. A key lesson: adapt quickly to AI’s evolution—leveraging human and AI intelligence for strategic advantage.
What are your future goals for the company? What are some steps you are taking today to shape your vision for the future?
My goal is to elevate Pakistan’s position in the tech industry. Our country is home to brilliant minds and groundbreaking ideas. To support this vision, I actively mentor fellow founders through StartUPulse, a community by TF Business Solutions. Under 2BTech, I provide robust tech solutions, AI engineering services, and product design expertise. Additionally, I offer one-on-one sales coaching to startup founders and corporate teams, empowering them to achieve their growth potential.
What were the most significant challenges you faced in the early stages, and how did you overcome them?
One of the most significant challenges I faced was creating an effective cold outreach system, which is a crucial component in service-based businesses where sales play a major role. To overcome this, I invested time in learning about B2B sales and marketing. This self-education and practical application allowed me to develop a system that could thrive in a competitive market.
Can you share a failure that taught you a critical lesson in your journey, and what did you learn from it?
Early in my career, I learned that failure is essential for success. When I fell short of my expectations, I identified gaps in my approach and focused on finding solutions. This taught me that resilience and addressing weaknesses are key to growth.
What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs about cultivating a strong personal foundation for success?
My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to start with strong financial management. Understand the sales psychology of your field, people’s behavior, and the role of tech to lead effectively. Embrace technology as a tool to streamline operations and enhance innovation. Most importantly, take action now — don’t procrastinate.
