Asia Cup 2023: Complete Schedule

One of the most renowned cricket competitions in the world, the Asia Cup, a one-day (50 overs) and twenty-over (20 overs) that brings together the best teams from the region for a high-stakes match. The Asia Cup is the sole cricket continental championship, and the victorious team is crowned Asia’s champion. Every two years, the ODI and T20I formats are switched.

 The 16th edition of the Asia Cup, which will feature games under the One Day Internationals (ODIs) format, promises to be a thrilling occasion. The competition will serve as a practice series for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, which will heighten the tension and excitement. 

Asia Cup (ODI Edition) 2023

The complete schedule of ICC Asia Cup 2023 has been officially announced all its 13 ODI matches are to be played. The tournament will take place between August 30 to September 17. Pakistan and Sir Lanka are all set to host the tournament series, (India’s matches will be played in Sri Lanka). 

Teams Participating in Match Series

The matches will be played by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) full five team members including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sir Lanka, and India. For the very 1st time Nepal wins the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup and now it’s qualified to join the other 5 teams. 

For the tournament’s opening round, the teams are split into two groups of three. Group A includes Pakistan (Host) A-1, India-A2, and Nepal, while Group B includes Sri Lanka (Host) B-1, Bangladesh B-2, and Afghanistan. There will be 13 overall matches in the series, including a final, six Super 4 matchups, and six league matches. Each group’s top two teams advance to the Super 4 stage, where the top two teams will compete in the championship game.

Asia Cup 2023 Locations

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will host the hybrid Asia Cup in 2023. Multiple nations will be hostin///g an edition for the first time in the tournament’s history. The hosts of the event, Pakistan, will host four games in the Asia Cup 2023, while Sri Lanka will host nine.

All matches will be a day/night affair. The first game will begin at 3 PM IST. In the Group and Super 4 phases, each team competes against the other team at least once. The whole ODI Asia Cup 2023 schedule for each side this season is listed below.
